My grandfather Joseph Sheldon (b. ?, d. abt 1924) married Elsie L. Shillitto (b. 1892, d. 1925) of New Haven, CT abt 1920. Marriage may have taken place in NY. Their children: Frank or Francis (b. 1921 in CT) and Eileen Lenore (or Elaine Lenore, b. 11/4/1923, aka Edna Greulich, adopted name, possibly born in NY). Robert Porter Sheldon
Robert Porter Sheldon moved to lower michigan sometime in the 1830's to 1840's. His son, William E. Sheldon was born in Michigan, probably White Pidgeon, St. Joseph County. From William E. Sheldon's death certificate it states his father was born n Scotland though I have other family information - unverified - that he was born in New York State. I do know that Robert Porter was still alive in Bangor, Michigan in 1893 when his wife died. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Milton Sheldon and family lived in Rensslaerville, Albany Co., NY by 1850. His Wife was Harriett and he had several children, including Louisa who was born about 1834. She married Lewis Rifenburgh before 1855 and they had 3 children in NY and Wisconsin and then returned to NY. They divorced during the Civil War and Lewis remarried. Their children were Rosillia, George and Frances Rifenburgh. I don't know what became of Louisa or George or Frances. Rosillia married L.O. Booher in Nebraska and that family moved to Florida with Lewis by 1900. I need to know Harriet Sheldon's maiden name. Was there a family connection with Jacob or Roxanne Lobdell who lived nearby?

Edward Riley Sheldon
I am looking for any info
on a grandfather by the name of either Edward Riley Sheldon or Edwin Riley
Sheldon. I think E.R. Sheldon came west in the late 1800's. E.R. worked for
the railroad in Oregon as a conductor. Probably for the Union Pacific on
a run from Portland to the coastal town of Tillamook Or. E.R. Married a Maud
McConville around the turn of the century. Had a son named Edward Lester
Sheldon born July 13 1906 in Portland. Divorced Maud around 1913 and he later
married again and had a daughter named Marylin around 1914 or 15. I was born

This is an update on the
search for info on Edward Riley Sheldon. Have found that his father was Edgar
Sheldon,and he was born in Hartford Conn. Edgar was married to a Laura Ostrander.
They must have moved to Chicago Il. where Edward was born Nov. 3 1873. There
was a family member named Lester Sheldon who was in Tacoma Wash. in the late
1930s. Lester had a son named Sidney Sheldon . I am looking for any information

Dwight Sheldon
This is an update on Edgar
and Edward Riley Sheldons. I have been able to tie a Dwight Sheldon into
the family. He was born in Iowa in the late 1880s and had a daughter name
Edna Margaret Sheldon who later married Guy Secoy and lived in Idaho. Edna
died in Idaho in the 1980s. There is also a Lester Sheldon who lived in
Washington in the 1930s whose father was an Edwin Sheldon who lived in Jasper
Minn. that fits into the family.but am not sure exactly where. Any info on

Joseph Charles SHELDON
I am looking for the family
of Joseph Charles Sheldon. He was born in Louisiana near Baton Rouge 16 July
1815. He reportedly served with the Texas Navy during the Mexican-American
war and as a colonel in the Civil War. He married Mary (KERR) MITCHELL, the
daughter of Maj. James Kerr (her second marriage). Children by this marriage
were Francis X., Joseph C. Jr., Odin, Marie, and Genevieve. Principal residences
were Hallettsville and Galveston, both in TX. He died 26 Aug.1912 in Austin,
TX. He was probably a farmer/rancher in those locations. Any help would be
appreciated. I need his ancestors and history, please.
